During a debate with Rohit Sardana, she went on to make the remark, “The present-day female descendants of Rani Padmavati themselves speak in English, have modern lifestyles, so they hardly have any moral right to give suggestions on the right portrayal of the character.” This remark seemed illogical to many and was criticised on social media.
