The results of the UPSC CSE were announced on Tuesday. Aniruddh Yadav has achieved an impressive rank of 8 in the IAS exam this year, accomplishing it on his very first attempt. Below, you can read his inspirational journey.

On Monday, the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) announced the results of the Civil Services Exam 2022. Ishita Kishore secured the top position in the UPSC CSE 2022, followed by Garima Lohia in second place and Uma Harathin in third place. The UPSC CSE consists of three stages: the preliminary exam, the mains exam, and the interview round. Remarkably, this year, girls have claimed the top 4 positions, and 6 out of the top 10 positions have been secured by girls.

Zee News interviewed Aniruddh Yadav, who secured the 8th rank. He happens to be the son of Haryana’s former Director General of Police (DGP), and his elder brother is also an IAS officer. Aniruddh Yadav successfully cleared the UPSC on his first attempt and expressed his aspiration to join the Indian Administrative Services (IAS).

According to Aniruddh, the crucial factor for success in the UPSC is consistency, and one should maintain a regular study routine to excel in the UPSC CSE. He attributed his achievement in the IAS exams to the support of his family, emphasizing that this success was not solely the result of his individual efforts but a collective endeavor involving numerous individuals.

Reflecting on his preparation period, Aniruddh mentioned, “During the exam preparation phase, I would immerse myself in studying for hours, losing track of time.” He further shared, “On an average day, I would dedicate around 16 to 17 hours to studying.”

Aniruddh emphasized the significance of self-belief during the UPSC journey, stating, “It is crucial to have faith in oneself as the path ahead is long. UPSC demands extensive hard work and the study of a vast syllabus. Therefore, self-confidence is essential.”

Aniruddh also advised, “Do not overly stress about the exam and take care of your well-being. Ensure you get sufficient sleep and maintain a healthy diet.”
