In 2011, Aravind Sanka completed a three-month summer internship at Tata Motors.

Many of the individuals behind such businesses are alumni of prestigious institutions like IIT and IIM. Aravind Sanka is one such individual who previously worked at Flipkart and later co-founded Rapido, a popular bike taxi aggregator and logistics service provider based in Bangalore.

Aravind Sanka is the co-founder of Rapido, a bike taxi service in India. He also co-founded theKarrier in November 2014. Prior to this, Sanka worked at Flipkart as a Supply Chain Finance Business Partner. He began his career at the company as a management trainee and was responsible for financial planning and logistics expansion for Ekart.

Sanka completed his Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Bhubaneswar between 2008 and 2012. He also worked as a summer intern at Tata Motors for three months in 2011.

After gaining experience for several years, Aravind Sanka co-founded Rapido with IITians Pavan Guntupalli and SR Rishikesh, who is an alumnus of PES University. In April 2022, the company secured USD 180 million in a funding round led by Swiggy, which increased the company’s valuation to USD 830 million (Rs 6,800 crore).
