The results of the UPSC 2022 civil service exams were announced today, and among the high achievers were several well-deserving individuals. It is noteworthy that Ishita Kishore, Garima Lohia, Smriti Mishra, and others, all female candidates, secured positions in the top 4 ranks. Garima Lohia, who secured All India Rank 2, emerged as one of the highest scorers in the UPSC 2022 examination.

Who is Garima Lohia?

Garima Lohia, born and raised in a business family, hails from Buxar, Bihar. Apart from her academic pursuits, she has a keen interest in listening to self-improvement podcasts. Garima secured the second position in the UPSC Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2022. She pursued her undergraduate studies at Kirori Mal College, Delhi University, and successfully graduated in 2020 with a degree in accounting.

Amidst the nationwide standstill caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, Garima Lohia utilized the time to dedicate herself intensely to self-study. Making the most of the available online resources, she extensively utilized platforms like YouTube to prepare for one of India’s most challenging examinations. Unfortunately, a tragic incident was reported by Aaj Tak, stating that Garima’s father passed away eight years ago.
