Kishore Indukuri was born and raised in a middle-class family in Hyderabad. His father worked as an engineer in a private company.

Kishore Indukuri’s journey is truly inspirational. Despite his successful career as an Intel employee in the United States with a substantial salary, he chose to leave his comfortable life in America to return to rural India and build a massive dairy business. Today, Sid Dairy Farm in Hyderabad is one of the city’s most reputable and highly regarded dairy farms.

Kishore Indukuri hails from Karnataka and grew up in a middle-class household in Hyderabad, where his father worked as an engineer in a private firm. He pursued his undergraduate studies in Chemistry at IIT Kharagpur, and later completed his post-graduation from the University of Massachusetts. He continued his academic pursuits and received his PhD from the same institute.

After completing his studies, Kishore Indukuri began his career as an engineer at Intel Corporation in Arizona, USA. He purchased a house in Chandler and was leading a comfortable life there. However, despite his success, he felt like something was missing in his life. He eventually made the decision to return to India and start his own business.

Kishore Indukuri ventured into several businesses after returning to India, but unfortunately, they did not succeed. He tried his hand at providing GRE and TOEFL tuitions, as well as growing and selling vegetables, but unfortunately, these businesses failed. In total, he lost Rs 1 crore in his failed attempts at entrepreneurship.

Despite the setbacks he faced with his previous business ventures, Kishore Indukuri did not give up on his entrepreneurial dreams. In 2012, he purchased 20 cows and started a dairy farm.

When Kishore Indukuri started his dairy farm, he sold the milk at a price of Rs 15 per litre, despite the production cost being Rs 30. To make ends meet, he did everything himself, from milking the cows to delivering the product.

Kishore Indukuri marketed his dairy product as free from water, medicines, and hormones. He also introduced a unique marketing strategy of letting customers try his product before paying. This innovative approach proved to be successful for him.

After years of hard work, Indukuri’s dairy business, Sid Dairy Farm, became one of the largest private milk suppliers in Hyderabad. The company now procures pure milk from hundreds of farmers and has thousands of daily customers.

He manages a farm that houses more than 100 cattle and employs over 120 people.

Kishore Indukuri invested all his savings into starting the dairy business and also took a loan of Rs 1.3 crore. He even bought a large farm in Shahbad for the same purpose.

Kishore Indukuri now operates his business on a subscription-based model.

The company earned a revenue of Rs 44 crore in 2020-21, which increased to Rs 64.5 crore in 2021-22, equivalent to around Rs 17 lakh per day.
