Kushal Pal Singh is an Indian billionaire real estate developer who serves as the CEO and chairman of DLF Limited, a leading real estate development company in India. He is considered to be one of the richest individuals in India. The company was founded by his father-in-law, Chaudhary Raghvender Singh.

Kushal Pal Singh has a massive land bank, estimated to be around 10,255 acres (42 km2), out of which approximately 3,000 acres (12 km2) are located in Gurugram. This land was used to establish DLF City.

Kushal Pal Singh’s life

Kushal Pal Singh was born on November 15, 1931, in Bulandshahr. He is the author of the autobiography “Whatever the Odds: The Incredible Story Behind DLF”. His father was a well-known lawyer.

Kushal Pal Singh is married to Indira Singh, who is the daughter of Raghvendra Singh, the founder of DLF Limited. They have a son named Rajiv Singh and two daughters named Pia Singh and Renuka Talwar. Rajiv Singh succeeded Kushal Pal Singh as the chairman of the DLF group in 2020.

Kushal Pal Singh’s education

Kushal Pal Singh completed his graduation in science from Meerut College. He then went on to pursue aeronautical engineering in the UK.

After being selected by the British Officers Services Selection Board to join the Indian Army, Kushal Pal Singh was commissioned into the Deccan Horse in 1951. Later in 1960, he worked with the American Universal Electric Company. In 1979, following its merger with DLF Universal Limited, he took over as the managing director.
