Rafique Malik is an Indian billionaire and the owner of Metro Brands, a multi-brand footwear retail company based in Mumbai with a market capitalization of Rs 23,000 crore. The company includes popular brands like Metro Shoes, Walkway, FitFlop, and Da Vinchi, and has 720 stores across 160 cities in India. His daughter, Farah Malik Bhanji, currently serves as the managing director of the company.

As per Forbes, Rafique’s net worth stands at USD 2.1 billion (approximately Rs 17,160 crore). He was ranked 1434th on the list of billionaires in 2023 and 89th on India’s richest list of 2022. He is married to Aziza Malik and they have five daughters.

Metro Brands, previously known as Metro Shoes, was established by Rafique Malik’s father Malik Tejani in 1955 as a single shoe store in Mumbai. The company has since grown into a multi-brand footwear retail business. Notably, famous investor Rakesh Jhunjhunwala has also invested in the company.
