Tejasvi attempted the UPSC exam for the first time in 2015. She cleared the preliminary examination but couldn’t pass the main examination. However, she succeeded in her second attempt in 2016 and secured an All India Rank (AIR) of 12.

Who is IAS Tejasvi Rana?

Tejasvi Rana is from Kurukshetra, Haryana, and had an interest in engineering, so she took the JEE test after intermediate and went to IIT Kanpur. While at IIT, she became more interested in the UPSC and decided to take the test. Tejasvi Rana is now an IAS officer and is married to IPS officer Abhishek Gupta. She is currently posted in Kalimpong, West Bengal.

IAS Tejasvi Rana’s strategy for UPSC Prelims 

Tejasvi started her UPSC preparation by first studying the syllabus thoroughly. She collected NCERT textbooks from classes 6 to 12 to build a strong foundation. After reading these books carefully, she moved on to the advanced-level books and decided on her optional subject. To make the most of her time, she studied daily and took short notes.

During her preparation for the UPSC exam, Tejasvi also practiced writing answers to questions and assessed her progress by taking mock exams. She used the internet to self-study and created her own notes to help achieve her goal.

Tejasvi believes that to do well in the UPSC exam, it’s important to work hard and stay committed. Aspirants should use good study materials and regularly check their progress. This will help them understand their strengths and weaknesses, allowing them to make adjustments and try again in a more effective way. Tejasvi recommends being patient and not getting too upset about setbacks.
