As soon as Priya completed her higher studies, she started working as a content writer with Altivolus Infotech Pvt. Ltd. in July 2012. Subsequently, she started working as a freelance script writer with Doordarshan News in June 2012. A bit later, she moved ahead as a Sub Editor with Mediaguru in February 2013. After gaining a lot of experience in journalism-related fields, Priya started working as a producer with Live India News Channel in September 2013.
While carrying out her responsibilities, she was known for reporting entertainment news and anchoring many special entertainment shows. But, when she quit her job and joined India TV as a reporter and an entertainment producer, she was also responsible for outdoor entertainment shoots. During those years, she moved ahead in covering the roadies journey in Darjeeling and a special shoot in Hyderabad.
