Atul Bajaj served as the Head of Sales and Operations for South Asia for a duration of three years and five months.

Atul Bajaj is the former executive director of sales and operations at Puma India and Southeast Asia. He recently resigned from the company alongside Abhishek Ganguly, the managing director, and Amit Prabhu, the chief financial officer. Atul Bajaj played a crucial role in contributing to Puma’s growth under Ganguly’s leadership, helping increase the company’s revenue from Rs 400 crore to Rs 3000 crore over a span of nine years.

Atul Bajaj completed his Executive MBA from IIM Bengaluru. Prior to that, he pursued his post-graduation from NIFT during the years 1997 to 1999. He graduated in 1996 with a degree in Economics. Atul Bajaj has accumulated 16 years of experience working with PUMA.

He served as the Head of Sales and Operations for South Asia for a duration of three years and five months. In 2013, he was promoted to the position of Executive Director. Throughout his tenure, he has taken on various roles within the country.

He is acknowledged for establishing a team responsible for Puma’s design, buying, merchandising, and sourcing functions.

He joined Puma in November 2006, assuming the role of Senior Category Manager.

The three individuals will be departing from the company in August.

They have successfully raised Rs 430 crore to launch their startup. Convergent Finance LLP, led by Harsha Raghavan, has invested Rs 400 crore, while Rs 30 crore has been contributed by individual investors.

Bajaj, Prabhu, and Ganguly are the co-founders of the company.

The newly formed company is called Agilitas Sports. It will operate in the sports sector, encompassing activities ranging from manufacturing to retail and technology. Agilitas Sports aims to establish itself as a premium sportswear product company.

Ganguly stated that the company will possess aspirational value.
