Having a market capitalization of Rs 10,730 crore, Sheela Foam was listed in 2016. The company operates 10 factories in India, one in Spain, and three in Australia. Rahul Gautam has been associated with the company since 1971 and is the reason for its success. In addition, he is also the chairman of the Polyurethane Association of India, at the age of 70.

Having a bachelor’s degree in Technology in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur and a Master’s Degree in Science in Chemical Engineering from the Polytechnic Institute of New York, US, Gautam has more than 40 years of experience in the home comfort products and PU foam industry.

In addition to his business pursuits, he is active in philanthropy in the areas of education and sports. He finds pleasure in participating in outdoor sports, reading books on management and philosophy, and listening to Indian classical instrumental music.
