DK Shivakumar, President of Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC), filed his nomination on Monday for the Kanakpura constituency ahead of the state assembly elections on May 10 and vote-counting on May 13.
The Congress leader, DK Shivakumar, has fully disclosed his net worth, estimated to be around Rs 1,400 crore, including his and his wife’s movable and immovable assets, valued at Rs 1,214 crore and Rs 153.3 crore, respectively. The family’s property is valued at Rs 61 crore.

The family’s possession includes 10kg of silver and 1kg of gold, while his daughter and son own 1kg and 675g of gold, respectively. In addition, the family has 10kg of unshared gold and 1kg of unshared silver.

DK Shivakumar declared his annual income as Rs. 14.24 crore, and his wife’s as Rs. 1.9 crore. However, the Karnataka High Court postponed a ruling on his petition regarding a disproportionate assets case on Monday.
In 2020, an FIR was lodged against the politician, claiming that his assets and possessions had increased substantially between 2013 and 2018. The complaint was filed on October 3.
