According to ET reports, investment firm Tiger Global is in talks with Rajasthan Royals to acquire stakes in the IPL franchise. The company aims to invest $40 million (₹330 crore) into the franchise. The report states that Tiger Global is proposing a significant valuation of $650 million (₹5,382 crore) for Rajasthan Royals, the winner of the inaugural season of IPL in 2008. Manoj Badale, a businessman based in the United Kingdom, holds a majority stake in the franchise.
As per the newspaper, the company has the option to either directly invest money or support one of its shareholders.
Manoj Badale currently holds a 60 percent stake in Rajasthan Royals. However, it is important to note that the deal has not been finalized yet.
