Raghvendra Kumar has been distributing helmets for free to owners of two-wheelers since 2014.

India has numerous unsung heroes who are devotedly working towards specific causes, raising awareness through various mediums including social media. These individuals are making significant contributions in areas such as health, cleanliness, and road safety.

In 2014, Raghvendra Kumar faced a personal loss when his close friend died in a road accident in Greater Noida. His friend was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident. This incident motivated Raghvendra to take action and create awareness about road safety. He started giving away helmets for free to two-wheeler owners. Whenever he spots someone riding without a helmet, he offers them a helmet. Raghvendra has distributed around 60,000 helmets since he started this initiative in 2014.

Reports suggest that he even sold his house in Greater Noida for the cause and quit his job. Raghvendra uses his social media account to spread his road safety messages. He has been awarded the Asian Excellence Award in 2022. To raise awareness, he wears a helmet even in his car. He has more than 11.6k followers on Twitter. For his road safety endeavor, even Union Minister for road transport and highways, Nitin Gadkari, had lauded and praised him.
