Rohit Modi, a former IAS officer, completed his schooling at St. Xavier in Jaipur, Rajasthan. He then pursued economics at Delhi University’s prestigious Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC) and Delhi School of Economics. In 1985, he joined the Indian Administrative Services (IAS) and served in various positions under the Central and Manipur governments for 14 years.

Rohit Modi, a former IAS officer, worked on a range of projects across various industries while serving under the Central and Manipur Governments. These projects were managed by renowned international organizations like the World Bank and the Asian Development Bank and included Urban Development, Textiles, Industry, Finance, Coal, Infrastructure, and Fertilizers. During his stint with the Department of Economic Affairs under the Ministry of Finance, he was appointed the Nodal Officer for the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the International Finance Corporation (IFC).

Rohit Modi, who was once an honorable IAS officer, left his position in 1999 to pursue a leadership career in the private sector. Over the past two decades, he has served as CEO and MD for various companies, including Mahindra Industrial Park, Suzlon Energy, Gammon India, L&T IDPL, Tamil Nadu Road Development Company (TNRDC), and Road Infrastructure Development Company of Rajasthan (RIDCOR). Most recently, he held the position of CEO at Essel Infra Projects and Smart Utilities until March 2019.
