14 years ago, Srikanth Venkatachari reportedly became a part of Reliance Industries led by Mukesh Ambani, as per the reports.

Srikanth Venkatachari is set to replace Alok Agarwal as the new CFO of Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) from June 1, as per recent news. Alok Agarwal, who served as the CFO since 2005, will now work as a senior advisor to Reliance chairman Mukesh Ambani.

As per reports, Srikanth Venkatachari has been associated with Reliance for 14 years now and presently holds the position of Joint CFO at Reliance, which is India’s biggest company in terms of market capitalization.

In a recent company notification, it was announced that based on the recommendation of the Human Resources, Nomination, and Remuneration Committee, the Board of Directors has appointed Srikanth Venkatachari, who has been serving as the Joint CFO since 2011, as the Chief Financial Officer of the company starting from June 1, 2023.

RIL announced in a filing that Alok Agarwal, who has served the company for 30 years as its CFO, will take up a new position as Senior Advisor to the Chairman and Managing Director, providing valuable assistance on various strategic matters starting June 1, 2023.

According to the notification, Alok Agarwal, an accomplished finance professional, was appointed as the CFO of the company in 2005. The Board acknowledged his contributions towards the transformative journey of the company and appreciated his valuable services.

Prior to joining Reliance, Srikanth Venkatachari spent more than 20 years working in forex trading and derivatives at Citi Group, where he also served as the Head of Markets.
