Ever since the announcement of the UPSC results yesterday, a crowd of people has gathered at her residence to offer their congratulations.

Vaishnavi Paul has achieved an impressive rank of 62, making her one of the toppers in the UPSC examination.

She hails from Gonda district in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India.

Vaishnavi revealed to Aaj Tak that she had made a personal commitment to crack the IAS exams. She credited her motivation to become an IAS officer to the newspaper.

She pursued her education at Fatima School in the city, completing her graduation from Lady Shri Ram College in Delhi. Currently, she is pursuing her master’s degree at Jawaharlal Nehru University.

During the interview, Vaishnavi faced numerous questions, but one question stood out as particularly noteworthy. She was asked what she would do if she became a district magistrate and encountered a lack of coordination between the former DM and the Superintendent of Police (SP).

Confidently, she responded that she would initiate a fresh professional relationship with a positive approach in order to address the lack of coordination.

She successfully cracked the exam on her fourth attempt.
