Nidhi Razdan is a well-known Indian news journalist and anchor. She currently works with NDTV, India’s premier source of news and information, where she presents the popular The big Fight, Prime time, Left, Right, and Centre, as well as numerous other shows.

Razdan was born in Budgam, Jammu, and Kashmir, India, in 1977. To Maharaj Krishan Razdan and Sarla Razdan, Her father was the former editor-in-chief of a news agency, Press Trust India. Nidhi belongs to the Kashmiri Pandit community. She moved to New Delhi with her parent and did her higher studies there.

She completed her early education at Apeejay School, Sheikh Sarai, before moving to Lady Shri Ram College for Women to pursue her Graduation. From there, she went on to pursue a Post Graduate Diploma in Radio and TV journalism from the Indian Institute of Mass Communication, Delhi. She completed her studies and joined the field of journalism as she, at a very young age, had decided that she wanted to build a career in journalism.

She started her career in journalism by joining NDTV in the year 1999. She worked there for twenty years till 2020. She quit the channel for some time and then decided to revoke her resignation and join NDTV again.

Nidhi Razdan was married to writer and Journalist Neelesh Misra of ‘Yaadon Ka Idiot Box’. The couple got married in 2005 and, after two years, due to some unknown reasons, got separated in 2007.

After the divorce, Nidhi Razdan was seen having a love affair with a famous politician and former Chief Minister of the erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir, Mr. Omar Abdullah.

Her career was enjoying an upward trajectory, and then in June 2020, she announced on Twitter that she would be leaving NDTV as she was presented with an opportunity to be a part of ‘Havard University’s Faculty’ where she was offered the position of ‘Associate Professor of Arts and science’. She was soon going to be Prof.

This news shocked her fans, as this was something out of the blue no one anticipated it. She was overwhelmed with the opportunity and was preparing to move as soon as possible. Then in the December of 2021, there came a tweet from Nidhi that shocked social media.

In that tweet, she wrote that the Job she thought she was getting at Harvard University was nothing but a ‘Sophisticated act of Phishing’. The job offer believing on which she announced her resignation from NDTV, was not real, and she was being scammed. She came out with news on Twitter and then went on to write about the whole incident on NDTV’s official website.

After all the commotion, she finally announced that she would be joining NDTV and wanted to forget all that had taken place in past.
